And then all you have to do is search for retailers and shop through the link on TopCashback! It really is that easy. Here’s is a quick video tutorial:
You are able to cash out at any amount via bank transfers to your bank account, PayPal, gift cards, and even more ways. The best part is that there is no minimum threshold! This means you can cash out any time – no waiting to hit a certain number!
They also share coupon codes on retailer pages to help you save even more money. To make it even easier for yourself, make sure you use the browser extension! It’s a great tool because it will pop up in the corner of your screen to remind you about any cash back offers that are available on a retailer’s website:

20 Best Dorm Shopping Websites For College Students
1. Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters is one of the best places to shop for sweet and trendy decor. They always have things that are on trend. I find them to be best for lamps, decals, small decor like bookends, rugs, and floor pillows. You can also grab a unique piece of furniture or two like this flower vanity stool or this corner floor lamp. Urban Outfitters also offers student discounts.
2. The Container Store
As the name suggests, the Container Store is about all things containers! In a dorm room you’re working with a small space so you need to maximize it as much as possible. You can find bed risers for your bed plus lots of under the bed and closet storage options to make the most of the space you do have.
3. Amazon
Amazon is of course a great place to grab anything you might need for your dorm. You don’t think of things like a surge protector or Command Hooks right away but they are definitely dorm necessities! Check out buying water bottles on Amazon too. You’ll probably find the best deals on things like Yeti cups here.
I like it particularly for personal care, paper products, and one off items you might need that are hard to find anywhere else. It’s also a good place to get school items like paper, pens, notebooks, etc. You can also consider an Amazon Prime subscription (I had one) and it saved me a lot of money on shipping over the years.
4. Dormify
Dormify is a go-to place for dorm living, bedding, storage, bed storage, and organization. I like this storage ottoman chair to get more out of a space you use everyday! They also have affordable rug options to keep your feet warm from the cold floor in the morning or make the floor a more inviting place to sit. They also have a lot of options that goes with any color scheme. It’s a great place to check too if you are having to look for Twin XL bedding.
5. PBTeen
Don’t let “teen” in the name fool you – PBTeen has a lot of great choices for college dorms too! Their bath bundles are an easy way to get everything you need for the showers. They also have a load of trunk options which are perfect for moving your stuff in and out of the door but also doubling as a seating area, storage, or side table!
6. Bed Bath and Beyond
Bed Bath and Beyond is a great place to grab any appliances you might need for your dorm room. You might want to grab a coffee maker or a mini fridge to keep easy snack essentials on hand for late night studying! This mini fridge organizer is a must-have too! Check out their storage options as well, you might just find a great deal!
7. Ettitude
You’re going to spend a fair amount of time in your bed (we spend 1/3 of our whole lives sleeping!) so having eco-friendly and comfortable sheets is a must! Ettitude makes 100% bamboo lyocell sheets that feel like silk but have a cooling effect that keep you comfortable all night long. They also have nice duvet covers too.
They’re hypoallergenic and free from harmful chemicals which makes them ideal for sensitive skin. Their sheet sets use 500x less water and produce 52% less CO2 than cotton sheets. They are also STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® which make them a fabulous affordable option for your college bed. Your dorm bedding will last years if you invest in it from the get-go.
8. Overstock
Overstock is a popular online site for all things home. If you happen to need any extra pieces of furniture for your dorm room, I’d check here first! Plus there is free shipping on everything. That’s a nice bonus for shopping online! This 12-drawer set would be perfect by a desk or in closet. They have lots of affordable furniture options, so just search for what you’re looking for!
9. Pier 1
The home goods store Pier 1 has the option to shop online! They have good deals on items like fairy lights that will add a little ambiance to your dorm room and jumbo coffee mugs that will come in handy for coffee, tea, or could double as a bowl! They also have a lot of cute wall art and wall decor online, like removable wallpaper, to really make your space your own! I’d also check here for affordable picture frames and shower caddies.
10. Apt2B
Apt2B is known for their hip and fun modern furniture. They have a lot of great office pieces like desk chairs, that while might be an investment, will be ergonomically better for your body than whatever your dorm offers. They also have a ton of super cute and bright pillows that I’d check out!
11. Walmart
Walmart also has lots of cute decor options! It might not be the first place that comes to your mind for dorm room decor, but they do stay trendy and practical.
This pouf makes a super cute spot to sit on or to prop your feet up on! They also have a good selection of alarm clocks (something you might find yourself needing for those 8am classes) and affordable mirrors. I didn’t have an alarm clock at first in college, but eventually I got one and it made a world of difference to not rely on my phone for that!
12. Tanga
Tanga is a great website that offers lots of deals of the day on useful items! They also have some unique storage and decor items available that would work will for dorm life. Keep an eye on their great deals if you have something specific in mind that you need to get.
13. Nolah Sleep
Calling out this specifically because I can vouch for it (three people have bought a new mattress after sleeping on the Nolah one in my guest room), but also because you’re going to want a mattress topper! Dorm beds can be super uncomfortable and flat, making for a hard night of sleep. If you can swing it, I’d also get a mattress protector – more to protect you from the mattress than anything!
14. Anthropologie
Anthropologies always has the cutest decor and accents. Adding a piece or two from here will really make your dorm room feel cozy and sophisticated. This blanket is made from 100% recycled cotton voile and has hand-stitched embellishments. It also comes in five colors so there is something for everyone. It’s always one of my favorite places to shop for home decor.
And as a tip – always check their sale section! They move through inventory quickly and you can almost always find a good deal in the sale section.
15. NordVPN
A VPN might not be at the top of your wishlist, but it is important to keep your data secure, especially if you’ll be connecting to the free WiFi frequently. According to the brand itself, “the NordVPN service allows you to connect to 4400+ servers in 62+ countries. It secures your Internet data with military-grade encryption, ensures your web activity remains private and helps bypass geographic content restrictions online.” Safety is invaluable.
16. The Laundress
While laundry and cleaning are not the most riveting topics to most, you’re still going to want to have cleaning and laundry supplies on hand. The Laundress offers eco-friendly line of detergent, fabric care, and home cleaning products that will last a while!
17. The Pillow Guy
If you couldn’t guess already, I’m a big proponent of quality sleep… especially while in college when you’re dedicated so much time to learning and not necessarily valuing sleep as much as you should. But sleep is incredibly important for our brains and bodies to function properly, so you want to make sure you’re getting the best quality sleep that you can. Investing in a good pillow is going to be worth it! The Pillow Guy has many options for pillows (like the stomach sleeper pillow) to help you get your best nights rest.
18. The Microsoft Store
You’ll need a good computer for school and you can get cash back at The Microsoft Store through TopCashback! They also have cash back on things like Xbox, games, and apps too.
19. Best Buy
The spot to go to for electronic things you need for your dorm room. Think a printer, miscellaneous cords, a TV… all of the comforts of home you might need to buy to make your dorm room a leisurely place to relax.
20. The Happy Planner
If you’re a planner like we are here at GenTwenty, you’ll want planning tools to keep you organized. I love The Homebody Storage kit for desk organization and keeping your desk a tidy place. You’ll also love the Cork Board/Dry Erase Duo for keeping track of important notes and dates and pinning flyers and memories.
