21 Activities I’m Putting On My Summer Bucket List 2025

Summer has always been a fun season. If you want to truly make the most of your summer I’d recommend creating a Summer Bucket List 2025.

The key to making a great bucket list is to add a variety of activities, from big to small, free to some that cost a little money, activities to do solo and some to do with others. You get the idea. In this post I’m sharing my personal Summer Bucket List. Hopefully it will inspire you to start your own and give you ideas.

Why Seasonal Bucket Lists Work So Well

I started doing seasonal bucket lists Fall 2024. At the time I started it mainly to keep straight all the fall activities I wanted to do. I quickly fell in love with the process of intentionally planning activities and actually following through with them.

That fall I had the most fun that I’ve had in a long time. When you look at what I did, it wasn’t all that different from a typical fall. I think it was the intentionality behind it that made the difference. So I’ve kept making a new bucket list each season.

What I’m Putting On My Summer Bucket List 2025

That brings us to my Summer Bucket List. When I plan out my activities I try to focus on variety. I know that I’m not always going to be around people or I’m not always going to be able to afford to spend money on activities.

Taking that into consideration is key for me to make sure I create a well-rounded list. This ensures I have something to do, no matter the situation. That brings us, numbered in no specific order, to my list.

1) Go Swimming

Starting off with a classic summer activity. I envision many pool days in my future. It’s a great way to kick back and relax or have fun with others.

2) Make A Fresh Fruit Smoothie Or Smoothie Bowl

Smoothies hit so much more in the summertime. I think it would be the best smoothie ever if I get my fruit from a farmers market, come home and make my smoothie right away. Maybe I’ll try my hand at making a fun smoothie bowl as well?

3) Play Backyard Volleyball

This is a nostalgic item on the list, because my summers as a kid used to be filled with playing backyard volleyball with my family. I think it would be so fun to play it again.

4) Go To A Concert For The Summer 2025 Bucket List

Usually it’s my goal to go to a concert each year and it never happens. I’m excited to share that it’s actually happening this year.

My sister and I will be going to see Big Time Rush this summer and we couldn’t be more excited!  I haven’t been to a show since The Jonas Brothers Remember This tour and this will be her first show. This may be the highlight of my summer and it hasn’t even happened yet.

5) Watch Fireworks

This was a must on the list with Independence Day taking place in the middle of summer in America. I’ve never been a huge firework watcher, but I think the act of watching them with others is what makes it enjoyable for me.

6) Go To The Lake Or Beach

One thing about me is that I love being around water. Whether it’s the lake or the beach, I don’t care. I plan on having some kind of water day, or if it’s up to me-days, this summer.

7) Go To A Rooftop Bar And Watch The Sunset

I also love sunsets. So, I want to get all the good views of pretty sunsets this summer. I think it would be so fun to go to a rooftop bar near sunset time and watch the sky transform before my eyes.

8) Ride On A Boat To Elevate My Summer Bucket List 2025

This is another nostalgic item on the list. I grew up spending my summers on the campground and on my dad and grandpa’s boats. I’d love to go on another boat ride this summer. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing time everytime I’m out tanning on the boat listening to the water and the boat motor.

9) Water Balloon Fight

Water balloon fights are another classic summer activity that had to go on the list. It reminds me of my younger days, and who couldn’t use a little more of that child-like fun in their lives?

10) Get Fro-Yo

I could eat frozen yogurt any time of the year, but it’s especially great during the summer. I love going to Sweet Frog and seeing if there are any new flavors that sound good.

11) Go To A Baseball Game – A Long Needed Summer Bucket List Item I Must Complete In 2025

Baseball is like fireworks to me. I’m not a huge fan of the activity, but the environment makes it fun. Which is why I’d love to go to a baseball game this year. I haven’t been to one since I was in college, so it would be fun to experience one again.

12) Visit A Sunflower Field

If you know me, you know I’m adding flowers to this list somewhere. I absolutely love sunflowers and I can’t wait to go to a sunflower field again this year.

13) Make A Fun Summer Playlist

Music is another thing that I love. So of course I had to add creating the best summer playlist to the list. I’m thinking it will include a mix of throwbacks, songs that sound like summer, and current hits.

14) Grill Out For My 2025 Summer Bucket List

The perfect summer day to me would include grilling out with friends and family. From the food, to the company, to the weather, the vibes are amazing when you are grilling out.

15) Have A Movie Marathon

For days where I want to beat the heat, a movie marathon sounds like the perfect plan. I’m talking about really doing it up. Bringing out the popcorn, lights out volume way up, phone on do not disturb, I want to bring the movie theater to me.

things to do when the weather gets hot

16) Watch “The Summer I Turned Pretty”

The Summer I Turned Pretty” is a staple for summer entertainment. This will be the last season of the show. I plan on soaking up every last episode, then maybe watching the show all over again.

17) Drink A Fun Summer Bucket List 2025 Drink

While I normally just drink water or Dr. Pepper. There is something about the summertime that has me wanting something a little more refreshing. I typically go for a Strawberry Acai Lemonade Refresher from Starbucks when I want that. I’d like to learn how to make it at home this summer.

18) Have A Themed Dinner/Party

Whether I do this for my birthday or just because, I’m not sure yet. I just love a good theme and I think it would be fun to plan something just for fun.

19) Eat A Meal On The Patio/Outdoor Space At A Restaurant

Summer will come and go just like all the other seasons. I want to make the most of the great weather and be outside as much as I can be. Plus patio restaurants have a fun vibe to them.

20) Paint My Nails A Fun Summer 2025 Bucket List Color

As much as I love bright fun colors, I don’t typically gravitate towards them for my nails. This summer I want to pick one of those colors though. I’m thinking yellow or a bright pink.

21) Read 3 Books That Take Place Somewhere I Want To Go

Lastly, I had to add something book related. I had been adding bedazzling a seasonal book with each seasonal bucket list. However, I started my book bedazzling journey with a summer book. Which brings me to another way to experience summer through books, by traveling through them.

I don’t have the budget to do much traveling, which is what a lot of people do during the summer. My traveling will be done through my mind as I experience places through different characters.
