25 Companies With Inspiring Vision and Goal Statements

I’m always intrigued by the history of companies, their values, and what makes them what they are. It’s interesting on its own, but it can also inform you about who to support or buy from. If a company doesn’t align with your values it’s good to know before you support/buy from them, whether it be for the first time or anytime after. If they do align with your values, maybe you’ll discover you want to support/buy from them even more.

The following companies not only have good values, at least in my opinion, but their inspiring vision and goal statements also make you feel something. These messages are all inspiring when it comes to not only their industry, but the world.

25 Companies With Inspiring Vision and Goal Statements

Beauty/Wellness Industry

Rare Beauty – “Our vision is to create a safe, welcoming space in beauty—and beyond—that supports mental well-being across age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, cultural background, physical or mental ability, and perspective.”

I love Rare Beauty’s makeup, but I love their mission even more. The whole brand is about simplicity. Their commitment to join in the fight to reduce the mental health stigma is inspiring to me.

Dove “We believe beauty should be a source of confidence, and not anxiety. That’s why we are here to help women everywhere develop a positive relationship with the way they look, helping them raise their self-esteem and realize their full potential.”

Dove’s mission, and their campaigns, have inspired me for years. As someone who struggles with low self-esteem, I appreciate how Dove shows that almost everyone struggles in this area in some way.

Beauty Bakerie “to be sweet and sweeten the lives of others”

The owner of Beauty Bakerie, Cashmere Nicole,  uses her platform to speak out and raise awareness about the injustices in the world today. Some of the injustices include the Black Lives Matter Movement and human trafficking. The products are cruelty free and all-inclusive, so you know you are getting products that are  great for you, and the world.

Planet Fitness“Our mission is to enhance people’s lives by providing a high-quality fitness experience in a welcoming, non-intimidating environment, which we call the Judgement Free Zone, where anyone – and we mean anyone – can feel they belong.”

Planet Fitness is one of the most welcoming gyms I’ve ever been to. That is important to me, being a plus-size girl. You want to feel welcomed and feel like you belong, not all gyms achieve this. Between that, and the many amenities each Planet Fitness gyms offer, You see their inspiring mission statement come to life as soon as you walk in.

Calm “To make the world happier and healthier.”

This is a simple, but powerfully inspiring, vision statement. Can you imagine a world where everyone was happier and healthier? There would be a lot less conflict and turmoil I’m sure.

BetterHelp“Making professional counseling accessible, affordable, convenient – so anyone who struggles with life’s challenges can get help, anytime, anywhere.”

Speaking of making people happier, BetterHelp is also in the business of making people happier. One of the big flaws in the mental health world is that it can be hard to get those mental health services you desperately need if you are struggling, whether it be the cost or other factors. BetterHelp’s inspiring mission is to make this less of a problem.

Beautiful RightsWe believe in beauty that inspires, empowers and challenges the status quo.”

This beauty company lives their mission statement out by donating 20% of all sales to initiatives that focus on women’s rights and gender inequality. The best part? You get to choose the initiative! Your purchase helps an organization that you personally want to support.

Education/ Entertainment Industry

Disney“To entertain, inform and inspire people around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, reflecting the iconic brands, creative minds and innovative technologies that make ours the world’s premier entertainment company.”

What is more inspiring than Disney? Their storytelling is impeccable, and their mission is as well.

Women Rising“Creating content and experiences to empower women and girls.”

Women Rising is a production company with a purpose. All of their projects raise awareness to important issues through storytelling. Each project benefits an organization related to the main issue it tackles.

Food Industry

sweetgreens “To inspire healthier communities by connecting people to real food.”

There are so many food companies that don’t place a priority on real food. Sweetgreens does things differently. Real food is at the heart of everything they do.

Thrive Market“Make healthy living easy and affordable for everyone.”

Thrive Market is an online membership market. They make getting your groceries cheaper by eliminating the retail markup. You get the wholesale prices. One of the most frustrating parts about healthy eating is that a lot of the food can get expensive fast. That’s what makes Thrive Market so inspiring.

Annie’s“To cultivate a healthier, happier world by spreading goodness through nourishing foods, honest words and conduct that is considerate and forever kind to the planet.”

This brand’s focus is on the planet and people. This helps develop thriving products that are good for both parties. Their mission to be good for both the planet and to people is inspiring.

Other Industries

Method “We believe in leaving the world better than we found it, working to restore our planet’s natural resources and benefit our communities as we grow our business.”

Here is another company that is focused on creating a better world with their products. With a better world comes better lives for us.

Toms “We are in the business to improve lives.”

If you aren’t familiar with Toms, they may seem like just a shoe company, but they are much more. With each sale they donate a pair of shoes to someone in need. This may not seem like much, but to someone who has never had a pair of shoes, it means the world. That is where the company’s mission becomes a reality.

Nike“Bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete* in the world. *If you have a body, you are an athlete.”

Nike is one of the few activewear companies that are inclusive. They don’t define you or put you in a box of whether you are an athlete or not. They use their mission to showcase that anyone is an athlete.

Patagonia“Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis.”

When reading their goals statement you can’t help but feel inspired. You can tell they truly care about creating the best possible products while being kind to the environment.

Warby Parker “To give everyone the right to see.”

This statement is not just inspiring, it impacts lives. Just like the Toms company, they give back to people in need. They do this by giving a pair of glasses to someone that needs them for every purchase

Nonprofits

charity:water “Bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.”

This nonprofit is on a mission to change communities. When you stop to think about how just one small thing that we take for granted can change entire communities, it’s powerfully inspiring.

VolunteerMatch “We are a community that believes in the power of volunteering to enrich our lives and the world around us.”

What is inspiring about this vision statement is the impact it carries. This statement inspires people to volunteer, which will in turn impact many more lives. It’s not only about the volunteers, it’s about entire communities.

Habitat for Humanity“A world where everyone has a decent place to live.”

I love phrases and statements that help you paint a picture in your mind of what it looks like. That is what this inspiring vision statement does for me. What about you?

Feeding America“To feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.”

This mission statement inspires you to take action and be a part of the fight to end hunger.

To Write Love On Her Arms“The vision is hope, and hope is real. You are not alone, and this is not the end of your story.”

This non-profit has one of the most beautifully written vision statement pages I have seen. The whole page is inspiring.

Special Olympics –  “To transform communities by inspiring people throughout the world to open their minds, accept and include people with intellectual disabilities and thereby anyone who is perceived as different.”

If you can’t tell the most inspiring vision and mission statements, at least in my opinion, are the ones fighting for everyone to be treated equally just as they are. The Special Olympics does just that.

GoodWill “Every person has the opportunity to achieve his/her fullest potential and participate in and contribute to all aspects of life.”

This is an inspiring vision statement because it provides hope for a better tomorrow. Goodwill acknowledges that everyone has opportunities for growth and a life well-lived. They do their part to make it happen through the products and services they provide to those in need.

Khan Academy“Our mission is to provide a free, world‑class education for anyone, anywhere.”

Education should be available to everyone, but that’s not always the case. Khan Academy is on a mission to change that.

I hope that you now feel inspired in some way by one, or more, of these vision and mission statements. This list inspires me to do what I can to support equality and a better planet, by researching and supporting businesses that help make that happen. From the makeup and clothes you buy, to the food you eat, you can make an impact in this world. That is the biggest lesson I’ve learned.
