Self-care doesn’t always have to involve staying home with a face mask and a cup of tea (although that can be lovely, so do it if it works for you), and sometimes people get so busy doing everything they have to do that they forget to make time for things they actually want to do.

A lot of self-care advice talks about yoga, meditation, journalling, and similar activities, and there’s a good reason for that because plenty of people find them really helpful, and when you think about it that makes sense because modern life can feel pretty busy, and taking even a few minutes to slow down, focus on your breathing, or get away from distractions can sometimes make a massive difference to how you feel.

A lot of people have creative interests they’ve been meaning to spend more time on – maybe it’s drawing, writing, photography, baking, crochet, learning an instrument, or something completely different, but those sorts of activities often end up getting pushed aside when life gets busy.
