We all have them: TV shows and the people on them we love. It’s easy to get attached to well-written, relatable characters. After all we spend years, in some cases, watching characters’ lives develop and when something happens to them, you feel it too. This especially includes their relationships. There are some TV couples who are just too annoyingly perfect or so perfectly flawed that we can’t help but love them both.
Some of GenTwenty’s favorite TV couples are (click below to start slideshow):
Marshall and Lily – How I Met Your Mother
These two are probably one of current TV’s favorite couples. They are adorable, hilariously adorable. Think of every sappy “love the one who makes you laugh” variation of pins you have on your Pinterest board and Marshall and Lily take the cake. The icing on the cake with these two is that Lily is Marshall’s first love and you can see how completely head over heels he is for her. Their quirky relationship has inspired envy across the country. Their ability to pause fights, have a clearly healthy sex life, and lifelong commitment to each other lands them at the top of our list.

Mitchell and Cameron – Modern Family
Like all good couples, these seemingly opposites have found a way to love and support each other despite their differences. The best part is they’re not perfect — they fight, trick each other, worry too much, and make mistakes in regards to their relationships, careers and raising their daughter. Never mind the hilarious one-liners and heartwarming moments (engagement episode anyone?). You’re hooked on their relationship from the start.

Jim and Pam – The Office
The Office might have wrapped up their final season last year but Jim and Pam definitely left a mark on us. This relatable couple made real life, in its entirely boring mundane glory, look amazing. Jim and Pam didn’t necessarily have a fairy tale romance but that’s why viewers loved it so much. Through a boring job, marriage problems, career issues, and self-crisis’ Jim and Pam were there for each other.

Carrie and Mr. Big – Sex and the City
Now this duo might be considered a bit controversial depending on if you’re on Team Big or Team Aidan. Both are good choices with different pros and cons. Here the advantage is given to Mr. Big, and not just because they end up together. Big and Carrie show what it takes to work through the hard stuff, make mistakes, and let love conquer all even after some massive problems occur. May they live happily ever after.

Chuck and Blair – Gossip Girl
Ah the Upper East Side power couple you can’t stand when they’re on their own, but somehow together, it’s magic. There’s a passionate love fueling this relationship and even their own selfish schemes and power trips won’t get in the way of it. They finally have their happy ending and are destined to have minions of their own.

Derek and Meredith – Grey’s Anatomy
This is one relationship that has had more than their fair share of trials and tribulations. Although the first few years were more than a little rocky, their love sucked audiences in and people have been cheering for MerDer ever since. Now that their relationship is more mature and they are both more stable, you can truly see the loving and nurturing relationship. Their two cute kids definitely don’t hurt things either!
