The Best 90s Karaoke Songs

Man, do I miss the ’90s. And ’90s music! A decade filled with hit wonders of songs and artists that are now unparalleled when it comes to choosing your song selection for karaoke.

There is something liberating about getting on stage, with a microphone, and just going all out, isn’t there?

Some of us have a go-to karaoke song—I will admit, mine is “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston, but I can also admit, I sound NOTHING like her! Her vocal range is iconic!

Songs from the ’90s are always a good choice, especially as they are the best way to get a sing-a-long started from the audience at the karaoke bar and get a good time going.

Here are some of the best ’90s songs you should sing your heart out to the next time you have karaoke night. I mean, I distinctly remember begging my parents for a portable karaoke machine for my bedroom and jamming out to these songs.

The Best 90s Karaoke Songs

We’ve got a little bit of country, we’ve got pop, we’ve got a love song or too. These are a few of my favorite songs from an era of unmatched bops from the music industry.

Barbie Girl by Aqua

A fun beat. So catchy. And even funnier if you have a male counterpart singing karaoke with you that can do the “Ken” part.

Wannabe by the Spice Girls

Who doesn’t love screaming “yo I’ll tell ya what I want what I really really what” like come onnnnn!

All Star by Smash Mouth

This song in itself gives you the chance to make the “L” loser sign on your forehead, and what more could you want?

MMMBop by Hanson

One of the catchiest (and easiest) choruses to remember, everyone will sure to be bopping along to your performance of this song. What a great way to have a night to remember…because this song will get stuck in your head for a few days!

I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys

Have you ever been somewhere where this song is playing and there are not people singing along? I haven’t.

This is sure to get the crowd going. Everyone remembers the era of boy bands!

You do not need to speak Spanish to preform this song, but it may help!

A Whole New World from the “Aladdin” Soundtrack

Do you love Disney? This is the perfect choice for you, and it will get the audience singing too, regardless of whether or not they are Disney crazed.

I mean, who doesn’t love this song? Plus, bring your significant other/partner/friend on stage with you for this song so you’re not alone.

My Heart Will Go On – Celine Dion

If you have some pipes you want to show off, go ahead with this song, the theme from The Titanic. Even if you don’t have the pipes, still go ahead and sing it, as the audience will be sure to be singing along with you!

Vogue by Madonna

You may have assumed this was an ’80s song but it actually came out in 1990! Who doesn’t want to release their inner Madonna? Or want an excuse to Vogue it out?
