One of the many things my enneagram-7-extroverted-self has missed the last six months (in addition to hugs) is working out WITH OTHER HUMANS.

What is the Les Mills Coach Program?
LES MILLS Coach offers 4, 8, and 12 week plans customized to suit your fitness needs and goals! You work one-on-one with a LES MILLS Coach who is your guide and accountability partner throughout your program!
Your coach is not a personal trainer but more of an accountability partner. They give you a personalized workout program based on your fitness level, comfort level, and fitness goals using Les Mills on Demand workouts.
How does the process work?

Les Mills Coach currently offers the following plans through the coaching program:

Your coach helps you unlock the full potential of LMOD workouts and they personalize their approach to your program based on your needs and goals. Fitness isn’t one-size fits all, and coaching shouldn’t be either!
What to expect from your coach:
Through the Les Mills Coach program, you’ll have access to the expertise of over 60 of the most experienced and top Les Mills trainers from across the world!
They each have different areas of expertise and experience that will match up to your goals. From post-pregnancy, to nutrition-focused, to post-injury, to fitness for beginners — there really is something for everyone.
After you sign up:
After you sign up, you’ll have a 30 minute call with your coach through the app. This is to help them get to know you and your fitness goals.
Then, you get your personalized workout plan! Your workout plan comes to you one week at a time through the app.
Every week, you have a 15 minute check in call with your coach before you get your new workouts.
At the end, you’ll get a wrap up email and a discount code to continue the program.
My Personal Experience with LES MILLS Coach
The following is a Q&A with Amanda about her personal experience with LES MILLS Coach.
I had the opportunity to try the 4-week program from LES MILLS Coach. My coach, Hope, and I checked in with each other once a week, for 15 minutes. That touchpoint with my coach once a week has been extremely helpful. I was able to provide feedback on the workouts so that she could make any adjustments in her scheduling my workouts for the following week.
Our meetings were over video chat and they really helped me feel like Hope and I were able to build a relationship with one another. (We bonded over our obsession with our Airpods, our love of Grit, and our dogs.)
What I Loved The Most About Les Mills Coaching
1. It’s convenient.
The workout options all range from 10 minutes to 60 minutes which means there is no excuse not to make time to get a workout in. When Hope would assign my workouts for the week, they would appear in my calendar which made it super quick and easy to access that workout for the day.
Until I can get back into a gym and enjoy sweaty hugs again, I think Les Mills On Demand COACH will be juuuuuust what I need to mix things up and have a BLAST at home.
2. It’s fun!
I had SO MUCH FUN doing the workouts. Even with our smoky air the last few weeks, I’ve been sweating safely inside and I don’t feel so alone with these energetic instructors.
There are 4, 8, and 12-week COACH programs and so many different on demand workouts — I’m OBSESSED.
3. The human connection.
One thing about working out for me is the community surrounding fitness. Given the current world situation, that’s not an option for me at the moment so it’s been hard to give it up.
I love that Les Mills Coach gives me that back. Having someone to talk to about my fitness journey has been motivating and heart-warming during this time especially.
4. Access to the Les Mills workouts.
We’re huge fans of Les Mills at GenTwenty. They offer so many different types of workouts and are very adaptable to all fitness levels. It’s an awesome bonus to have a workout plan suited to you based on their workouts!
Q&A About LES MILLS Coaching
How was signing up and matching with your coach?
Signing up was so quick and easy! I was paired with a coach based on my goals.
There are SO MANY amazing coaches to choose from. They all have videos you can watch and that helped me figure out which ones I might align the best with. From there, Les Mills made recommendations. My coach, Hope, was the perfect fit for me.
Did the program seem suited to your fitness level/goals? How did they adjust to your needs?
The program is definitely suited for any fitness level. I was able to share my goals with my coach and Hope made workout recommendations that were in alignment with areas that I wanted to improve. I always felt like I was being pushed to get stronger and better but the program also felt within reach. AND it was fun!
Did they help you with nutrition advice at all?
Hope was able to support me with questions that I had about fueling and nutrition. That was not an area that I personally chose to focus on, but I could have leaned more into the 1:1 nutrition support if I wanted.
Was it hard/easy to follow?
The app for coaching made everything really easy. As a calendar person, I loved that all of my workouts and calls populated on to a calendar. I kept the notifications on so I wouldn’t miss reminders for my check in’s with Hope and it would also remind me to get my workout done for the day.
Everything was easy to follow and keep up with! It really was perfect for me.
Tip: Turn notifications on so you don’t miss any calendar reminders!
Did you struggle at all with anything?
I wanted to do all of the workouts so I struggled to stay on task with the workouts that Hope was assigning. I trusted her mentorship though and I would have been so lost without someone telling me which workouts to do!
Were they receptive to your feedback?
Yes! Hope and LES MILLS were both excellent listeners. I felt heard and supported throughout the entire process.
Overall the Les Mills Coach program is a great option if you need accountability in your workouts! Having a personalized plan can help keep you on track with your goals. And the weekly check-ins hold you accountable for completing your workouts and staying dedicated to your goals.
