5 Leadership Podcasts To Listen To Today

5 Leadership Podcasts To Listen To Today

Whether you are currently a leader in your company, or have dreams of becoming a leader, it’s important to always keep learning and growing your leadership skills. This goes for solopreneurs, or those with goals of creating their own business, as well. You have to be your own leader in that situation, so it’s important to learn all you can about this topic as well, and leadership podcasts is a great way to learn to do so!

One of the best ways to learn about leadership is by listening to podcasts. There are a surplus of options out there when it comes to podcasts. I did the digging for you and came up with, what I think, are the best leadership podcasts. Let’s get into it.

5 Leadership Podcasts To Listen To Today + Bonus Episodes

These podcasts that I mention below are specific to leadership. Later on in this post, I’ll list specific episodes on leadership from podcasts that don’t solely focus on the topic.

Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast

What I love most about this podcast is the varying length of the episodes. There’s something for everyone, no matter your schedule. I also love the vision behind the podcast.

At the beginning of each episode Craig Groeschel states that the podcast is “incredibly passionate about building leaders.” When you hear that, you know you are in for some great leadership tips. In this podcast you’ll hear interviews from other top leaders, as well as solo episodes.

Lead To Win

Michael Hyatt is an expert in leadership development. He has built a team, Michael Hyatt & Co.,  to help other leaders in this area. In the podcast Lead To Win you’ll find topics such as goal setting, mindsets, how to manage and take care of your team, and more.

In addition to this podcast, Michael Hyatt is also an author, has created  courses, and even a planner.

Beyond The Business Suit With Kailei Carr

This is a great podcast for inspiration if you are, or want to be, a female leader. She discusses topics like effective leadership, entrepreneurship, culture, mental health, and more.

What I really love about this podcast is that many of the recent episodes take place on LInkedIn Live. This means, if you follow Kailei on LinkedIn, you’ll get to interact in real-time with the podcast.

The John Maxwell Leadership Podcast

John Maxwell is one of the top leadership experts of our time. In fact, in a 2014 Inc. article, he was named the number one leadership expert.

It’s no surprise that his podcast has a wealth of leadership knowledge. Some of the topics include communication, leadership qualities, growth, etc..

The Global Leadership Summit Podcast

This is a monthly podcast that features many different leaders, like Lysa Terkeurst, Michael Todd, and Craig Groeschel to name a few. It’s your one stop shop for all your favorite leaders, and their knowledge, in one place.

Bonus Leadership Episodes

The following podcasts don’t focus exclusively on leadership. However, many of them focus on skills and topics that are good for leaders to know about. In this list I’m sharing some of my favorite leadership episodes that every leader, or upcoming leader, should listen to.

GaryVee Audio Experience: How To Lead | Interview With David Rubenstein

In this episode Gary Vaynerchuck interviews the Co-Founder and Co-Executive Chairman of The Carlyle Group, David Rubenstein. They discuss what makes a great leader and talk about Rubenstein’s book “How to Lead: Wisdom from the World’s Greatest CEOs, Founders, and Game Changers.” My favorite part of the episode is around the 15 minute mark.

Goal Digger: Why Giving Your Team More Freedom Leads To Better Results

In this episode Jenna Kutcher has a conversation with one of the women on her team, Kylie Low, to talk about workplace culture, the hiring process, side-hustles, and more. It’s interesting hearing from both sides of a company.

I think it could be insightful for other leaders to listen to for ideas of how to be a great leader for your team. The Goal Digger Podcast has a lot of other great topics like marketing, creating an income, and of course goal setting.

The Femails: 4 Personality Types You Need To Build A Dream Team

This podcast has a lot of great episodes on all things career growth. Workplace, confidence, self-development, it’s all covered. This specific episode of The Femails is all about building a team that incorporates all different personality traits and why it’s important.

It’s an interview-style episode with Lauren McGoodwin interviewing Werq founder Ilana Zivkovich. I love personality tests. It was interesting seeing how they play into teamwork and the importance they are for leaders to know.

Positive Mindset for Entrepreneurs from The Mind Aware: Leadership

This podcast is great because the episodes are short, so you have many opportunities to fit a podcast into your busy schedule. The podcast host, author Dana Wilde, focuses on one topic each episode. Some of these topics include mindset, confidence, marketing, etc.

This episode is all about, you guessed it, leadership. She gives three tips you need to become a great leader. One of my favorite quotes from this episode is “Your job as a leader is to help your people feel successful, until they are successful.”

Do you listen to leadership podcasts? Are there any shows or episodes that I left out? Leave your recommendations in the comments so that we can all check them out.
