GE Universal Remote Codes For Samsung TV – Easy To Use

Looking for GE Universal Remote Codes For Samsung TV? Here are all the codes you need plus detailed instructions on how to pair your remote.

If you’ve found yourself trying to set up your Samsung TV with a universal remote and need the correct codes to program the remote to your TV, you’ve come to the right place.

Why use a universal remote?

A universal remote (no matter what brand name) can work with various electronic devices.

Instead of having a bunch of random remotes for all of your various TVs, players, and more. They also come in handy if you’ve lost the remote to your device.

Typically, the number of devices you can pair to one remote is 8 devices.

The universal remote uses three and four digit codes to pair devices together. These are called remote control codes.

Different brands typically have different unique codes. And they can vary model to model (and newwer models can be different too).

Each brand code is different but the same brand typically uses the same codes. For instance, the samsung smart tv would pull from the same codes list as any other samsung tv.

You can find universal remotes at many retailers including Amazon, Radio Shack, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc.

How To Set Up Your Universal Remote To Pair With a Samsung TV

It’s fairly straightforward to pair a universal remote to your Samsung TV. Follow these simple steps below:

  1. First, begin by turning your TV on.
  2. Next, you’ll want to press and hold down the button labeled “setup” on your universal remote. You should notice a red led light come on on the remote.
  3. Then, you’ll want to press the device button on the remote that matches the device you are pairing with. In this case, you should press the TV button. You may need to press the “setup” button and the “TV” button simultaneously.
  4. Next, use the keypad on the remote to enter one of the codes below. You will have to try different codes, going down the list until one works. Eventually, a device code will pair your remote. This is just how the pairings work.
  5. Keep trying codes in order until the red light turns off.
  6. Next, you’ll want to point the remote at the TV and press the power button to ensure the TV turns off. If it does, it is paired correctly!
  7. If the TV does not turn off, you will need to keep trying codes until it pairs correctly.
  8. When the correct code is entered, the Samsung Television should work correctly.

And there you go!

What If That Didn’t Work? Instructions Part 2

If the above instructions do not pair, try this set below. There is some variation in how the universal remotes were made and their pairing instructions.

  1. First, turn on your device (in this case, the TV – but you can also use universal remotes for a blu-ray player, VCR, cable box, universal tv, dvd combos, and various other electronic devices).
  2. Next, press and hold down both code search and setup button until you see the red indicator light turn on. Then you will want to release your hold on both buttons.
  3. Then, try your codes one at a time, beginning in the code list you previously identified.
  4. The indication light will turn off whether the code is correct or not. There is not necessarily one specific code or right code that will work for every TV. You just have to keep trying until you get the right code.
  5. Finally, try to use the remote to turn off your TV. If it turns off, the remote is paired correctly. If it doesn’t, then you will need to try another code.
