Here’s a psychological shortcut more people should make use of. If you are able to encourage yourself to feel grateful for what you already have, rather than mourn what you are missing, you will find it brings about great change very quickly.

Gratitude has a way of opening you up to more abundance, so the irony is that when you feel you have the least to feel grateful for is exactly when you should try to feel more grateful. It is hard, but it is worth it – it puts you in the right frame of mind to go about fixing your problems, notably your debt.
