Overall First Impressions

This is a very skincare heavy box, in my opinion. If you love skincare, this season is probably for you. There are a lot of quality skincare brands in this box, though. I will give them that!

My choice items are: the Amika hair straightener, the NASSIFMD detox pads, the Baublebar ear crawlers, the Afterspa hair towel wrap, and both the Wander Beauty eye masks and the Skin&Co toner.

Overall I’m not displeased with this box, but I do wish it was more fall-themed. I would love to see a choice item be different candle scents — maybe pumpkin spice, gingerbread, chai and/or autumn air.

I will say, however, that I am glad to have options other than a scarf! I’m not a big scarf wearer myself. I’m super stoked to have selected the Amika hair straightener.

Some of the customization groups seem really random, like there is no rhyme, reason, or theme to the groupings. I prefer when each option is its own type — like beauty, homeware, lifestyle, etc.

As for the items included in every box, I am excited about the exfoliating cubes and the hair mask. I love a good hair mask! And I actually almost bought a very similar sugar scrub last week so I’m very glad that I didn’t. Exfoliating is one of those things I do at least once a week year round, so these things are useful to have on hand.

And finally, the lotion. I feel like every box includes a lotion of some sort. I guess it’s a good thing because I never have to buy it myself but I still have some from the winter box. I personally don’t go through it that fast, I guess.

So overall first impressions. Not my favorite box, but not my least favorite either. I will reserve my final judgements until my box is delivered and I can review all of the items for you.
