9 Brands Getting Me Through the End of Summer and Into Fall

There’s something about the transition from summer into fall that always feels like a reset. The weather may still be warm, but schedules are changing, routines are coming back, and I’m slowly starting to swap carefree summer days for a little more structure.

I’m definitely not ready to pack away everything summer-related just yet, though. This in-between season calls for pieces that can do a little bit of both: keep me comfortable through the lingering heat while also helping me settle into fall.

From a new everyday bag and jewelry I can wear with everything to travel essentials, beauty favorites, and clothes that make transitional dressing easier, these are nine brands getting me through the end of summer and into fall.

1. Melinda Maria Love Letters Medallion Necklace

I love jewelry that I don't have to think too hard about. The kind you can put on with a simple summer dress, a T-shirt and jeans, or a sweater once the temperatures finally start dropping.

I recently picked up a few pieces from Melinda Maria and I've been in love with the Love Letters Medallion Necklace! It's a dainty 12mm pendant with an initial set against mother-of-pearl and accented with white simulated diamond pavé. It's adjustable which I also love for when I want to layer it!

It's personal without being overly flashy and feels like one of those pieces I can keep reaching for regardless of the season. It also makes a beautiful gift!

2. HOBO Pier Shoulder Bag

If there were ever a color made for transitioning into fall, it might be Whiskey leather.

The HOBO Pier Shoulder Bag in Whiskey has quickly become the kind of bag I can see myself carrying constantly. It's made from buffed leather and has a soft, structured shape that feels polished without being too formal.

One of my favorite things about it is that you can carry it as a traditional shoulder bag or wear it crossbody. I'm always a fan of anything that gives me options, especially when I'm running errands, traveling, or out with the kids and want to be hands-free.

The warm brown leather also works beautifully for this time of year. It still looks great with summer neutrals and dresses, but it feels especially right heading into denim, sweaters, boots, and all the richer colors of fall.

3. Quip Ultra Lite Sonic Electric Toothbrush

I am obsessed with Quip toothbrushes. I've been using mine for years and was so grateful for the chance to upgrade to the Quip Ultra Lite Sonic Electric Toothbrush!

The is one of those everyday upgrades that makes a routine feel a little more streamlined. It's designed to be lightweight and portable while still giving you all the benefits of an electric toothbrush.

I especially appreciate the travel-friendly design because this time of year still tends to involve plenty of packing and unpacking. It's an easy addition to my toiletry bag without taking up a ton of space.

4. Soft Surroundings Bailey Midi Dress

Late summer dressing can often be surprisingly tricky. It's still hot outside, but I'm mentally ready for fall clothes long before the weather cooperates.

The Soft Surroundings Bailey Midi Dress (pictured middle!) is exactly the kind of piece I want during this transition. A midi dress makes getting dressed simple while still giving me plenty of options for styling it differently as the season changes.

Right now, I can wear it as an easy standalone outfit with sandals. As temperatures cool down, I can start adding layers and swapping in more fall accessories.

I love having pieces in my closet that aren't limited to a tiny seasonal window, especially during these weeks when the weather seems to change its mind every few hours.

5. Solgaard Carry-On Closet Lite Expandable

Summer travel might be winding down, but my need for good luggage definitely isn't. We travel as a family of five almost monthly (we are about to take our sixth trip this year) so good luggage is a must for us.

The Solgaard Carry-On Closet Lite Expandable is designed around one of my biggest travel goals: staying organized without making packing unnecessarily complicated. I also always go for expandable luggage because you never know how much more stuff you'll bring home!

It's a lightweight expandable carry-on from Solgaard's Carry-On Closet line, which is designed to make it easier to keep your stuff organized while traveling. I love the concept because digging through a completely disorganized suitcase is one of the least enjoyable parts of any trip.

And while it makes perfect sense for summer vacations, this is definitely not a summer-only favorite. Between fall trips, weekend getaways, and holiday travel coming up before we know it, I expect this one to get plenty of use.

6. Thigh Society The Cooling 7"

The Thigh Society Cooling 7" shorts have been such a practical addition to my wardrobe. I've been wearing them for years and own multiple lengths and colors! The 7" is my favorite, though!

They are designed as an ultra-light base layer that helps prevent thigh chafing without adding a heavy layer underneath your clothes.

I love them for underneath dresses in all seasons. They're lightweight enough for those hot, humid days when adding another layer sounds like the last thing you'd want to do. I'll also keep wearing dresses well into fall, and having a comfortable layer underneath them makes these an easy year-round wardrobe staple for me.

7. Amika Super-Sized Blonde Set

As an unnatural blonde, my hair is always ready for some extra attention.

Sun, heat, humidity, swimming (don't tell my hair stylist), and regular heat styling can all add up, especially for blonde hair.

I'm a big fan of amika products and this summer have been turning to their Bust Your Brass line to help maintain my color and hair strength!

The ultra-violet shampoo is designed to tone unwanted brassy hues, while the conditioner helps tone, hydrate, strengthen, and repair the hair. That's pretty much exactly what I want as I head out of summer and into a new season.

There's something satisfying about doing a little beauty reset for fall, and refreshing my haircare routine is an easy place to start.

8. Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50

I am a sunscreen is for all season kind of girlie. I'm not a ride or die for any specific sunscreen but I will say that the Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50 makes reapplying SPF throughout the day much more convenient. It's an all-mineral powder sunscreen that comes in a self-dispensing brush, so you can use it on its own or apply it over makeup. I also use it on my scalp and on my kids' scalps as well!

It offers SPF 50 UVA/UVB protection and is water- and sweat-resistant for up to 80 minutes. I especially like the powder format for keeping in my bag because it makes midday SPF touch-ups much easier than trying to reapply a traditional sunscreen over makeup.

9. NEIWAI Barely Zero Anchored Cup Strap Bra

Comfort is becoming a bigger priority in my wardrobe, especially when I'm looking for everyday basics that work underneath a lot of different outfits.

The NEIWAI Barely Zero Anchored Cup Strap Bra is designed with adaptive-fit technology, anchored cup construction, and a seamless exterior. The one-size design is meant to adapt to your body and create a second-skin feel while still offering support.

It's exactly the type of simple wardrobe foundation that works regardless of the season. I can wear it under lightweight summer pieces now and continue reaching for it underneath my fall wardrobe later.

I appreciate basics that don't require much thought, and a comfortable bra that works underneath a variety of outfits definitely earns a place in that category.

Getting Ready for a New Season

I'm not quite ready to rush summer out the door, but I do love the feeling of a new season approaching. There's something refreshing about getting back into routines, pulling out different clothes, planning fall trips, and making small changes to the things I use every day.

These nine brands have been fitting naturally into that transition. Some are helping me make the most of the final hot days of summer, while others are already getting me excited about cooler weather and everything that comes with it.

I'm finding that the best transitional-season products aren't necessarily things made specifically for summer or fall. They're the pieces that work through both—and make everyday life a little more comfortable, organized, or enjoyable along the way.
