What is life without a little indulgence from time to time?

If you’re someone who typically eats healthy or is trying to eat healthier this new year, keep in mind that treating yourself to a greasy meal or sugary treat is important too.

I use my week to focus on healthy meals that are easy to prep and make for lunch and dinner, such as crockpot meals and on-the-go snacks. On the weekends, I allow myself to indulge in heavier but delicious meals.

I’ve put together a couple treat meals that you can create within the comfort of your home.

1. Taco-bout Breakfast

Anyone who knows me, understands my love for tacos and anything Mexican. Let’s just say in college my debit card statement was filled with the local taco truck. As an easy breakfast treat on the weekend should be these authentic Mexican breakfast tacos.

These tacos consist of chorizo sausage, corn tortillas, eggs, milk, pepper, salt, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, hot pepper sauce and salsa. With this recipe only taking a whopping fifteen minutes, it will be your favorite dish to spice up the morning!

2. Pizza, Pizza!

 Being an all-time favorite, pizza should be a treat in moderation! There are so many ways to create a pizza, which is why I’m encouraging you to use this as your treat meal and because it’s super easy! Cheese pizza is great just the way it is, but if you’re a pizza connoisseur I’m thinking you’ll want a little more on top.

Here are a couple of recipes to try:

3. “Stuff” Yourself

One of my favorite foods to cook with are potatoes. Nothing sounds better than a stuffed potato, am I right? What if that stuffed sweet potato held delicious BBQ chicken and more? Uhm, yum!

This will be everyone’s favorite dine in night when they get to create their own by adding toppings such as cilantro, red onion, shredded cheese, avocado, banana peppers, and the list goes on and on.

4. Sweet Treat

 Valentine’s Day is just around the corner which means sweet treats are coming your way. Last year my girl, Lauren Conrad, shared the cutest Heart Jam Cookies and Love Letter Cookies. The ingredients for the cookies consists of 7 to 10 items, half of which are probably already be waiting for you in your pantry. You can find heart-shaped cookie cutters from Etsy or Amazon to make them perfect for Valentine’s day. These cookies are the perfect combination of sweet and fruity!
