Hot tip:

Ideally you want to spot clean your pillow with warm water but sometimes you need a deep clean!

To wash in your washing machine:

Remove the pillowcase before washing. Use lukewarm water on s short cycle with minimal spin. If you can use a rinse cycle only, do that!

Use a gentle detergent.

Use just 2-3 tablespoons.

To wash by hand:

Fill a tub, bucket or basket with lukewarm water. Add 2-3 tablespoons of detergent. Add your pillow to the water. Gently move the pillow in the water with your hands. Light movement is all that is necessary.

Dry on delicate or low heat.

Add 2-3 tennis balls or two pillows to the dryer to help your pillow retain its shape.

Hang dry or lay dry in the sunlight for a couple of hours.

Sunlight is naturally refreshing for bamboo pillows. Allow your pillow to finish drying in the sunlight (flip over when one side is dry to dry the other side).

Make sure the whole pillow is dry before putting it back in a pillow case and on your bed! A wet pillow can grow mold.
