Returning

  • Scandal: In case you haven’t been watching, you need to have a mini marathon quickly! Kerry Washington plays the fierce and fearless fixer Olivia Pope on this ABC hit. Scandal has it all: love, politics, drama, suspense, humor, and more. Be sure to tune in starting October 3.
  • Homeland: If you’re lucky enough to have Showtime, Homeland is a must watch. This Emmy award winning show will take you all around the world and keep you on your toes. Last season left us with a terrorist attack on the CIA and the disappearance of Brody. Season 3 premieres on September 29.
  • How I Met Your MotherThe final season of this CBS comedy premieres on September 23. You spent years waiting for the mother to be revealed and, at the end of last season, she was! Keep watching to see how this hilarious show finishes up.
  • Glee: Rest in peace, Cory Monteith. Making its debut this fall a little later than expected on September 26, Fox brings back your favorite high school glee club. This season should be interesting, as some characters have graduated from high school and key casts members are leaving.
  • The Walking DeadLook out for zombies on AMC starting October 13. The Walking Dead, said to be the highest-rated drama in basic cable history is coming back in its fourth season with mobs of zombies. Beware!

New

  • Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.If you loved the movie The Avengers, make sure you give Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D a try on ABC on September 24. The show is a spin-off of the film set inside the Marvel Universe and promises to be one of the most anticipated new shows for this season.
  • The Crazy OnesCatch Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar in this CBS comedy starting September 26. Williams’ character runs an advertising agency and works with his daughter, played by Gellar. Packed with celebrity cameos, this show promises to keep you laughing.
  • DraculaWho doesn’t love Jonathan Rhys Meyers? He’ll play Dracula in NBC’s remake of the popular classic, starting October 25. Dracula promises to deliver some elements of steampunk and of course be filled with love and revenge! Sink your teeth into that!
  • HostagesPremiering on CBS on September 23, this thriller is sure to keep you on the edge of your couch. Toni Collette (you might remember her from The United States of Tara) will play a surgeon whose family is kidnapped by an FBI agent, then it’s demanded that she perform surgery on the president. Yikes!
  • Super Fun NightWhat would our list be without a group of three friends who love to spend their Friday nights in their pajamas? Debuting on ABC on October 2, check out this new show written by Rebel Wilson as she and her friends decide that it’s time to take their Friday nights to a new level.
