Friends Who Inspire You To Be Fearless

Fearless friends

A few months back I wrote an article about friends we should remove from our lives because they continue to bring us down. But not all friends are toxic. There are plenty of wonderful and amazing friends out there who have stood by us and made things a little brighter. The people who have been our rock by lending an ear or making us laugh.

The best kinds of friends to have in your life are those who inspire you to be fearless. The ones who make you want to be adventurous and try new things. I have a few people in my life that make me want to be a little bit bolder and strive to be stronger person.

There are three types of fearless friends that you should hold on to:

The Yes Friend: This is someone who will always say yes when it comes to trying new things. They are the person that will push you out of your comfort zone. If they were not around you would probably still be sitting on your couch watching The Real Housewives of Orange County reruns every night. Instead, you are out there trying paddle boarding or going to a concert for a new band. I have a “Yes” friend, well a few of them, but one in particular where I always ask myself, “What would she do?” She is the kind of person who will go on a surf trip by herself because she really wanted to learn how to surf. She inspires me to be adventurous and come out of my shell.

The Creative Friend: This is the friend who will expand your cultural horizons. It could be introducing you to new movies, art, books, music, food or whatever else is different from what you are use to. They see the world through the eyes of an artist. I have a lot of creative friends. They are always leading me to fun new things. I enjoy being creative and love when I can be inspired to start new projects or get a great tip on a new book that will ignite new passions. I have a friend who is starting a photography business. She has such a great eye and seeing her so excited about this new venture makes me want to start working on what I am passionate about. I cannot wait to see how she will inspire others in her life.

The Active Friend: This is a friend who loves to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. They make you want get up off your butt and move. They motivate you to be active. I have a friend who is always planning physical activities for our group. She is either getting a softball team together or organizing an eight-mile hike or a snowboarding trip to the mountains. She always wants us to be active and doing something outdoors. She gets me and everyone else around her excited to do these kind of outdoor activities while spending quality time with each other. What more could you ask for in a friend?

If you have any of these types of friends in your life do not let them go. They are going to continue to push you in ways you never thought possible. You will begin to find new passions and reach new goals you never knew you had because of them. If you have a fearless friend make sure you let them know how much you appreciate them. I only hope that I can be one of these kinds of friends to those special people in my life too.
