Five Cool Summer Date Ideas

5 Cool Summer Date Ideas

Picture this: you and your dream date are dining at a five-star restaurant right on the water. The wine is flowing, the food is to die for, and the conversation is even better. But as next to broke twenty-somethings, it can be difficult to afford such a luxury.

So, what else can you do that won’t break that bank but will be sure to impress your date? We’ve come up with five fun-filled, cool summer date ideas that will suit any personality.

Pack a picnic
Grab the cutest basket you can find, a blanket big enough for two, and head somewhere with a beautiful view and maybe some privacy. Go all out and bring a full spread or simply pack foods that are easy to eat with your hands, such as sandwiches and fruit. Don’t forget the wine (or the bottle opener)!

Take surfing lessons
Going to the beach is blast, but doing something that will get your endorphins flowing is even better. Whether you’re athletic or not, we’re sure you will have a great time attempting to master the surf with your date. And if it doesn’t work out, at least the two of you will have a cool memory and, hopefully, a new skill by the end of the day.

Ride roller coasters
Take a day trip to your closest amusement park. Roller coasters are great for getting the adrenaline going, a feeling that is similar to what it feels like to be in love. If the summer air is too hot to handle, choose a theme park with a killer water park. It’s a great way to cool down after spending time roaming around and waiting in lines all day.

Visit the aquarium
Aquariums are great in the summer because they are indoor and will help you stay away from the heat. You and your date can visit your local aquarium, or zoo if the former is not nearby, and spend the day gazing into each other’s eye while you bond over your love for animals. Pick up a keychain or a stuffed animal on the way out for a cute memento of your date.

Go to a baseball game
You’ll hit a home run with this choice–trust us. The camaraderie of sports brings people together, and if your date is a sports lover, the two of you will be able to enjoy and bond over the game. Being a spectator will allow you to spend time together without being competitive. Pick up some peanuts and cracker jacks and go support your local sports team.

Summertime leaves you with endless possibilities for fun outdoor dates. Don’t be afraid to take advantage of mother nature and plan an awesome, memorable date.
